Appointments can be arranged by referral from your local optometrist, GP or specialist. They will send us through a faxed or digital referral detailing their request for consultation.
Once received, one of our friendly reception staff at Blink will promptly confirm with you, a suitable appointment date and time to work within your schedule. You can always call us on (02) 5104 0929 if you have any queries or concerns.

Our friendly staff will contact you directly to arrange an appointment. At that time, should you provide an email address, you will receive a notification to access the patient portal of the electronic medical record system at Blink.
Please read this email carefully and, if you have the time, kindly update your demographics as requested. This will help ensure all your details are correctly entered and your first appointment at Blink is timely and efficient.

What to bring and do?
- Referral:
If possible can you bring a copy of your referral, although in the majority of cases we will have received a faxed or digital copy from your referrer.
- Glasses:
Please bring all glasses that you use, including readers and distance glasses, if separate. If you wear contact lenses, please remove at least 24 hours before your appointment.
- Medicare/DVA card, Pension card, Health Fund card
- Summary of medical and ophthalmic history
- Contact details for your Optometrist, GP and any Specialist
NOTE: Expect your eyes may be dilated for a complete posterior segment eye exam. If so, driving is prohibited for a minimum of two hours, sometimes more. Please bring a driver if possible.

We understand that people’s schedules change and that appointments will have to be cancelled at short notice on occasions.
We would greatly appreciate as much notice as possible should you need to do so. Thank you for understanding and accommodating.

We will provide you with an invoice of services at the end of your consultation.
At Blink, we accept the following:
- Credit card, EFTPOS and direct bank transfer.
We do not except AMEX, cash or cheques unfortunately. We apologise for any inconvenience.

- Allow 2-3 hours for first appointment.
- Advised not to drive home if eyes dilated – necessary on many visits.
